Reliance Jio, the telecom subsidiary of Reliance Industries Ltd., is set to expand its operations outside India, Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani announced at the company’s 48th Annual General Meeting on Friday.

“Jio will expand its operations outside India, taking our home-grown technology to people around the world. I am extremely confident that the path ahead for Jio is even brighter than its journey so far,” Ambani said.

Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, revealed that the operator has now crossed 500 million customers — a figure greater than the combined populations of the US, UK and France.

“As we look ahead, Jio’s journey will progress beyond India. Our innovative technologies will now be deployed globally, ready to solve global challenges. With strategic partnerships and a clear roadmap, we will take Jio’s services to the rest of the world, creating value for partners and shareholders alike,” Akash Ambani said.

For FY25, Reliance Jio reported revenue of ₹1.28 lakh crore, with EBITDA at ₹64,170 crore, underscoring its strong financial foundation as it prepares to go global.
