Reliance Group announced the establishment of the “Reliance Group Corporate Centre” (RGCC) to drive its Vision 2030 growth strategy. The RGCC aims to act as a strategic hub to guide the group’s companies in exploring new opportunities and technological advancements while cultivating next-generation leadership.
The RGCC’s core team comprises seasoned leaders including Sateesh Seth, Punit Garg, and K. Raja Gopal, who collectively bring nearly 100 years of management experience, with over 50 years within the Reliance Group. Punit Garg currently serves as the CEO of Reliance Infrastructure, and K. Raja Gopal leads Reliance Power. Leaders from other group companies will also participate in RGCC initiatives.
The initiative is aligned with the Reliance Group’s commitment to diversification and staying relevant with evolving industry requirements. RGCC will focus on providing strategic guidance for future growth, offering mentorship to emerging leaders, and blending experience with fresh talent to sustain growth.
In addition to launching RGCC, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. and Reliance Power Ltd., key entities of the Reliance Group, have achieved zero bank debt status and announced plans for ambitious growth. Reliance Power has secured 1,270 MW of renewable power projects in Bhutan, while Reliance Infrastructure, through its subsidiary Reliance Defence Ltd., is developing a 1,000-acre manufacturing facility for small arms, ammunition, and explosives in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra.
To support these initiatives, the companies have announced a combined fundraising effort of ₹17,600 crore, including ₹4,500 crore through preferential equity issues, ₹7,100 crore via equity-linked FCCBs from Varde Partners, and ₹6,000 crore through Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP).
A spokesperson for the Reliance Group stated, “RGCC is a strategic step to harness the expertise of experienced leaders, navigate challenges, and tap into new opportunities. It reflects our commitment to driving innovation and delivering value to stakeholders.”
The Reliance Group sees RGCC as pivotal in shaping the next phase of its growth trajectory.
