REC Limited has announced the incorporation of Rajasthan V Power Transmission Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary of REC Power Development & Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL). The new subsidiary has been established for the transmission system for evacuation of power from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Phase V, Part I (4 GW) in the Sirohi and Nagaur complex.

The incorporation follows the Ministry of Power’s gazette notification dated August 30, 2024, which allocated the transmission project to RECPDCL. The subsidiary will serve as the vehicle for the project until the selection of a successful bidder, at which point it will be transferred to the bidder along with all assets and liabilities.

Rajasthan V Power Transmission Limited has an authorized and paid-up capital of ₹5,00,000 and is yet to commence business operations. The entity’s primary function is to manage the transmission system for power evacuation as part of REC’s broader efforts to support renewable energy infrastructure.

This incorporation is part of REC’s continued commitment to expanding India’s renewable energy transmission capabilities. The transmission project will be awarded through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process.
