RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has received a significant work order worth ₹17,47,74,625 (inclusive of taxes) from the General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Chhattisgarh. The contract was confirmed on July 8, 2025.
This domestic order involves comprehensive work covering network connectivity, operation and maintenance (O&M), hardware procurement, commissioning, and implementation of an upgraded integrated communication infrastructure. The project scope includes WLAN, LAN, and EPBAX system integration across government offices.
The execution timeline for the project extends up to January 14, 2031. RailTel, a key player in the government’s digital initiatives, will ensure the setup and operation of the revamped communication systems, enhancing digital efficiency across Chhattisgarh’s administrative departments.
Importantly, RailTel has confirmed that neither its promoters nor promoter group have any interest in the awarding authority. The transaction does not fall under related party dealings.
