RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has secured a significant contract worth ₹162.59 crore (including tax) from Ircon International Limited. The contract involves executing an integrated tunnel communication system, including railway general telecommunication arrangements, for the Sivok-Rangpo New BG Rail Line project under NF Railway.

This project is a key part of India’s railway infrastructure development and aims to enhance communication systems within tunnels, ensuring seamless operations and safety. The order, classified as a domestic contract, is set to be completed by March 28, 2026.

The work order, received on March 28, 2025, at 8:00 PM, strengthens RailTel’s position in the railway telecommunication sector. This contract highlights RailTel’s expertise in providing cutting-edge solutions for railway communication infrastructure.

Notably, there is no involvement of the promoter group in this contract, nor does it fall under related-party transactions. This development is expected to boost RailTel’s revenue and reinforce its role in modernizing railway networks.

In the meantime, on March 23, the company won a ₹25.15 crore contract from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for MPLS/ILL services. The five-year deal (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2030) covers the renewal of existing links and the provisioning of new ones, subject to feasibility. This domestic rate contract strengthens RailTel’s position in India’s digital connectivity sector, reinforcing its role in providing advanced telecom solutions to major enterprises.
