RailTel Corporation of India Limited has received a significant domestic work order from the Ministry of Defence, strengthening its role as a key telecom and digital infrastructure partner to the Government of India.
As per the regulatory disclosure, RailTel Corporation of India Limited has been awarded a services contract under an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) framework. The total consideration for the order, as specified in the work order, stands at ₹1,40,71,45,056.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and involves the provision of services in line with the agreed AMC terms. The execution period of the contract extends until 30 January 2031, offering RailTel long-term revenue visibility and stability over the next several years.
RailTel has clarified that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in the entity awarding the contract. The order does not fall under related party transactions, indicating that it has been awarded on an arm’s length basis.
The company received the work order on 21 January 2026 at 15:00 IST, and there has been no delay in reporting the same to the stock exchanges.
