RailTel Corporation of India reported its financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024, with revenue from operations at ₹767.62 crore, a 14.8% increase from ₹668.36 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Total income for the quarter stood at ₹782.29 crore, a 15.94% growth compared to ₹674.81 crore in Q3 FY24. Other income also saw a sharp rise, reaching ₹14.67 crore compared to ₹6.45 crore in the same period last year.
On the expenses front, total expenses for the quarter climbed to ₹690.25 crore, up 19.05% from ₹579.73 crore in Q3 FY24. The rise was primarily attributed to project-related expenses, which increased by 28.8% year-on-year to ₹408.81 crore. Employee benefit expenses came in at ₹56.42 crore, slightly higher than ₹55.02 crore in the same period last year.
The company’s profit before exceptional items and tax was ₹92.04 crore, a decline of 14.71% from ₹107.91 crore in the year-ago period. After accounting for tax expenses, RailTel’s net profit for Q3 FY25 stood at ₹65.05 crore, a 4.69% increase from ₹62.14 crore in Q3 FY24.
