RailTel bags Rs 57.48 crore smart classroom and ICT lab project in Bihar

RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a major order worth Rs 57.48 crore from the Bihar State Educational Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited. The project, awarded under the PM-USHA Scheme, involves the development of hybrid smart classrooms and ICT labs across various colleges and universities in Bihar.

According to the company’s filing, the contract is domestic in nature and will be executed by March 16, 2026. The scope of work primarily covers supply, development, and integration of the digital infrastructure. RailTel clarified that the order does not fall within related-party transactions and that no promoter or group company has any interest in the awarding entity.

The company received the official Letter of Acceptance on September 16, 2025, at 6:07 p.m. This project further strengthens RailTel’s role in advancing India’s digital and educational infrastructure, particularly through government-led schemes aimed at enhancing technology adoption in higher education.
