Radico Khaitan Limited has announced the India rollout of The Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum, marking the brand’s entry into its home market after a successful international launch. The super-premium, triple-aged rum will debut in Uttar Pradesh, with a phased expansion planned for Karnataka and Delhi in the coming weeks .

According to the company, The Kohinoor Reserve is crafted in small batches from fresh cane juice sourced during the North Indian winter and undergoes a distinctive triple-cask maturation process. The spirit is first aged in American Bourbon barrels and then finished in Cognac XO and Vermouth casks, creating a layered flavour profile that sets it apart in the dark rum category .

Commenting on the launch, Abhishek Khaitan, Managing Director, Radico Khaitan, said the Indian rum market is witnessing a shift toward richer, more complex dark rum expressions, making this an opportune time to strengthen the company’s presence in the segment .

The brand draws inspiration from the legendary Kohinoor diamond, symbolising rarity and prestige. Its bottle design features a sculpted, multi-faceted structure with muted gold detailing, reflecting a contemporary take on Indian royalty and craftsmanship. On the palate, the rum offers sweet-fruity aromas, native spices, dried fruits, roasted nuts and elegant woody notes, with a long, smooth finish .

The Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum will be priced at Rs 4,350 for a 750 ml bottle in Uttar Pradesh, Rs 4,635 in Karnataka, and Rs 3,750 in Delhi, as the rollout progresses across key markets .
