Aerolloy Technologies Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PTC Industries Limited and a leading manufacturer of high-precision metal components for critical aerospace and defence applications, has successfully installed and commissioned its cutting-edge Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) 400 Furnace at the Aerospace Precision Castings Plant. The facility is part of the Strategic Materials Technology Complex (SMTC) in Lucknow, located within the UP Defence Industrial Corridor.

With this new VAR furnace, Aerolloy can now produce some of the largest Titanium castings globally—a capability possessed by only a select few companies worldwide. This technology is crucial for next-generation aeroengines and advanced defence platforms.

The addition of the VAR furnace complements Aerolloy’s existing VIM (Vacuum Induction Melting) facility, creating a fully integrated production chain. From Titanium alloy and superalloy materials to some of the largest investment castings for highly demanding applications, Aerolloy and PTC Industries now cover the complete spectrum. This integration is expected to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience for global customers, while boosting India’s aerospace and defence ecosystem.

The global demand for aerospace-grade Titanium and Superalloys is growing rapidly, driven by commercial aviation, space exploration, and defence programs. With this new capability, Aerolloy is strategically positioned to seize opportunities in both domestic and international markets. The move also aligns with India’s objectives of technological self-reliance and supply chain security in critical materials.
