Prudent Corporate Advisory Services Limited has announced the acquisition of the mutual fund distribution (MFD) business of Pune-based Indus Capital through a slump sale. The move marks a significant step in strengthening Prudent’s position in India’s fast-growing wealth management and financial distribution sector.
The Board of Directors of Prudent Corporate approved the transaction at its meeting held on September 8, 2025. As per the Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) signed with Mr. Sanjay Sanghvi, Proprietor of Indus Capital, the deal covers the transfer of the entire MFD business as a going concern.
The business being acquired comes with an assets under management (AUM) of ₹2,030 crore as of August 30, 2025, along with all related contracts, receivables, employees, rights, obligations, and liabilities.
Prudent Corporate will pay a total consideration of ₹123.75 crore (including initial and contingent components) to complete the acquisition. The transaction does not fall under related party dealings and has been executed at arm’s length.
Commenting on the development, Prudent Corporate said that the acquisition will strengthen its mutual fund distribution vertical, expand its customer base, enhance its AUM, and drive overall business growth.
