Prism Johnson Limited has informed the exchanges that its partner RLJ Cement Limited has completed part of its planned capacity enhancement at the Mirzapur plant in Uttar Pradesh.
As per the company’s disclosure, RLJ Cement has enhanced its cement production capacity by 0.204 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), against the earlier planned expansion of 0.36 MTPA. With this, RLJ Cement’s total cement production capacity now stands at 0.50 MTPA.
Prism Johnson highlighted that the agreement with RLJ is under a non-exclusive supply arrangement, wherein cement manufactured as per Prism Cement’s specifications will be supplied to the company for onward sales to customers.
Following this enhancement, Prism Johnson’s outsourced grinding capacity through supply agreements with multiple units has increased from 1.17 MTPA to 1.37 MTPA, strengthening its distribution capabilities.
The company noted that the Mirzapur plant is now fully operational after the capacity upgrade and forms part of its broader strategy to expand supply tie-ups and scale production to meet rising demand.
