Premier Explosives Limited, one of the leading manufacturers of explosives and defence products, has announced that it has received a significant order from the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for the supply of Chaffs and Flares. The total value of the contract stands at ₹429.56 crore (including GST), with deliveries scheduled to be completed within twelve months.
According to the company’s official filing, the order has been placed by the Indian Air Force (IAF), New Delhi, under the Ministry of Defence. The Chaffs and Flares are essential countermeasure systems used by military aircraft to protect against radar-guided and heat-seeking missiles, playing a crucial role in enhancing aircraft survivability during combat operations.
This order reinforces Premier Explosives’ long-standing association with India’s defence establishment and highlights its growing capabilities in indigenous defence manufacturing. The company confirmed that the contract is a domestic order, awarded by a government entity, and does not fall under any related-party transaction.
