Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been declared the successful bidder under the Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) process to develop the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) for evacuating power from Mahan Energen Limited’s generating station in Madhya Pradesh.

The company confirmed on April 1, 2025, that it received the Letter of Intent (LoI) dated March 31, 2025. The project will be executed under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model.

The scope of the project includes the construction of a 400kV double circuit transmission line along with associated bays at the existing Rewa Powergrid substation in Madhya Pradesh. This project is critical for boosting grid infrastructure and improving power evacuation from the region.
