Piccadily Agro Industries Limited has achieved a historic milestone with its flagship brand Indri once again emerging as the fastest-growing single malt whisky in the world. According to the International Wine & Spirits Record (IWSR), Indri has also been crowned the No. 1 Malt Whisky in India, surpassing both domestic and international rivals.

In calendar year 2024, Indri’s sales touched 2.04 million bottles (1,70,000 nine-litre cases), making it the largest-selling single malt in India and one of the fastest-selling Indian single malts globally. Of this, 1,24,000 cases were sold in the domestic market, while 46,000 cases were exported, placing Indri in direct competition with global whisky giants.

Praveen Malviya, CEO (IMFL), Piccadily Agro Industries Ltd., said: “For us, it has always been about liquid quality and customer satisfaction. We wanted to prove to the world that India can produce exceptional spirits, and Indri’s success proves that our ambition to be among the world’s top single malts is turning into reality.”

Indri’s core range and limited editions have played a key role in its rise:

  • Indri-Trini (Three Wood Matured)

  • Indri-Dru (Cask Strength Expression)

  • Indri Diwali Collector’s Editions – highly valued in secondary markets

  • Indri Founder’s Reserve 11YO – ultra-premium offering

These whiskies have consistently won international accolades, including gold medals and the title of “Best in the World” at prestigious global spirits competitions.

Crafted with Indian barley and shaped by the unique terroir of North India, Indri’s flavour profile has resonated with whisky lovers both in India and abroad. With its rapid growth and global recognition, Piccadily Agro is aiming to make Indri one of the top five single malt brands in the world in the coming years.
