Paytm, operated by One 97 Communications Limited, has unveiled the UPI Lite Auto Top-Up feature, simplifying recurring daily payments under ₹500. This innovation allows users to automatically recharge their UPI Lite balance when it drops below a predefined limit, ensuring hassle-free transactions without requiring a PIN.

- Target Use Cases: Ideal for daily payments like chai, groceries, transport (metro, auto, bus rides), and subscriptions.
- Transaction Limits: Up to ₹500 per transaction and a daily cap of ₹2,000.
- Clutter-Free Banking: Routine payments are processed through an on-device wallet, keeping main bank statements clean.
- Enhanced Transparency: A UPI statement download feature is available to monitor and organize expenses effectively.
Current Availability:
The auto top-up feature is live for select users with Yes Bank and Axis Bank handles, with plans to expand to all users and additional partner banks soon.
Paytm has also extended its UPI services to include international payments, allowing users to transact in the UAE, Singapore, France, Mauritius, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal, where UPI is accepted.
