Park Medi World Limited has strengthened its footprint in North India with the full acquisition of Krishna Super-speciality Hospital, a 250-bed multi-speciality healthcare facility located in Bathinda, Punjab. The acquisition, completed through an all-cash deal valued at ₹40 crore, marks a strategic transition from operational management to complete ownership.
Park Medi World, North India’s second-largest hospital chain, had been managing the hospital’s operations since July 2025. With the purchase of 100% shareholding from the existing promoters, the hospital is now fully integrated into the Park Medi World network, further consolidating the group’s cluster-based expansion strategy across the northern region.
The Bathinda hospital functions as a comprehensive healthcare hub, offering advanced infrastructure including 250 beds, nearly 70 ICU beds, modular operation theatres, and automated diagnostic laboratories. It houses experienced and highly trained medical professionals across a wide range of super-specialities such as cardiac sciences, neurosciences, oncology and radiation therapy, endocrinology, orthopaedics and joint replacement, urology and nephrology, gastroenterology, and critical care.
This acquisition is expected to deliver strong operational synergies by aligning clinical protocols, technology platforms, and medical expertise with Park Medi World’s existing hospitals. The group’s cluster-based model is designed to improve efficiency, enhance patient outcomes, and ensure consistent standards of care across locations.
Beyond growth and scale, the Bathinda hospital also plays a crucial role in improving access to quality healthcare in Punjab’s semi-urban and rural regions. By offering metropolitan-grade treatment locally, the facility aims to bridge long-standing healthcare gaps for economically weaker and rural communities, making advanced medical care more affordable and accessible.
Commenting on the development, Dr. Ankit Gupta, Managing Director of Park Medi World Limited, said the acquisition represents a key milestone in the company’s mission to deliver world-class healthcare across North India. He noted that after managing the hospital for several months, the group was confident about fully integrating the 250-bed facility into the Park Medi World ecosystem. According to him, the hospital’s central location enables it to effectively serve both urban and rural patients, reinforcing the group’s commitment to inclusive healthcare.
Dr. Gupta also highlighted that the acquisition reflects the vision of the company’s founder, Dr. Ajit Gupta, centered on the philosophy of “wellness for all.” The goal, he emphasized, is to ensure that premium, life-saving medical care is not treated as a luxury but becomes a standard reality for families across the Northern Region.
