Paras Defence and Space Technologies Limited has announced that it has been granted a license under the Arms Act, 1959. The license, issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, allows the company to engage in the design, development, manufacturing, assembly, and upgrading of cannons for various defense applications.
This includes naval gun systems, air defense gun systems, airborne cannons for helicopters and fighter jets, and armoured fighting vehicles. The authorized calibers range from 20 mm to 40 mm, with a proposed annual capacity of 100 units.
This strategic license is set to bolster Paras Defence’s position in the defense manufacturing sector, enabling the company to expand its product offerings in advanced weapons systems.
