The expansion is expected to create 100-150 direct jobs and 700-1,000 indirect employment opportunities, strengthening Odisha’s industrial landscape. Additionally, the project aligns with the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact while contributing to India’s agricultural growth.

Paradeep Phosphates Limited is one of India’s largest phosphatic fertilizer producers, with an annual production capacity of 3 million metric tonnes (MT), including 2.6 million MT of phosphates and 0.4 million MT of urea. The company operates two major manufacturing units in Paradeep, Odisha (1.8 million MT), and Zuarinagar, Goa (1.2 million MT).

With its strong backward integration in phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, and ammonia, along with a captive berth at Paradeep Port, PPL is well-positioned to meet India’s growing fertilizer demand. The company continues to build on its trusted brands, “Jai Kisaan” and “Navratna”, to support the agricultural sector.

This strategic partnership with the Odisha government marks a significant step toward India’s goal of self-sufficiency in fertilizer production while reinforcing PPL’s commitment to farmer prosperity, soil health, and sustainable agricultural growth.
