Pace Digitek on Tuesday announced that it has secured a major telecom infrastructure contract from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited valued at approximately ₹264.65 crore, including GST.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the order pertains to the design, supply, construction, installation, upgradation, operation and maintenance of the middle-mile network under the BharatNet project in the Sikkim Telecom Circle.
The company stated that the project is expected to be executed over a period of 1,095 days from the appointed date.
The contract has been awarded by a domestic entity and is part of the government-backed BharatNet initiative, which aims to strengthen digital connectivity infrastructure across rural and underserved regions in India.
Pace Digitek also clarified in the filing that the transaction does not qualify as a related-party deal and that the promoter or promoter group has no interest in the awarding entity.
The Bengaluru-headquartered company, formerly known as Pace Digitek Private Limited, provides telecom infrastructure and digital network solutions. The latest order is expected to enhance its order book and strengthen its position in the telecom network implementation space.
BharatNet has emerged as one of India’s largest rural broadband connectivity programmes, creating opportunities for telecom infrastructure and network deployment companies across multiple states.
