Oswal Pumps Limited has received a Letter of Empanelment from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the supply and execution of 6,500 off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) under the PM-KUSUM B scheme, also known as the “Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump” Yojana, according to a regulatory filing dated December 24, 2025. The total value of the empanelment is approximately Rs 180 crore, including GST.
The order involves the design, manufacture, supply, transportation, installation, testing and commissioning of solar water pumping systems of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacities at identified farmer sites across districts in Maharashtra. The scope also includes complete system warranty, repair and maintenance, and a remote monitoring system for five years.
As per the disclosure, the Letter of Empanelment is valid for one year. Installations are required to be completed within 60 days from the issuance of the notice to proceed or work order approvals. The company clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and does not fall under related party transactions, with no interest from promoters or group companies in the awarding authority.
The development strengthens Oswal Pumps’ presence in the solar agriculture segment and aligns with the government’s push to expand renewable energy adoption in the farm sector under the PM-KUSUM programme.
