Optiemus Electronics Ltd. (OEL) has entered into a manufacturing agreement with ASRock Incorporation, a leading motherboard manufacturer based in Taipei, Taiwan. As part of this partnership, OEL will manufacture ASRock’s enterprise and gaming desktop motherboards in India.
Production of these motherboards began in April 2025 at OEL’s facilities, and the Made-in-India products will be available in the domestic market starting May 2025. This marks a significant step in the localization of IT hardware production in India.
ASRock is known for designing motherboards tailored for varied user needs, including both consumer and enterprise segments. Until now, ASRock motherboards have been imported into India. With this agreement, domestic manufacturing aims to meet rising local demand while reducing reliance on imports.
OEL and ASRock also plan to expand their product portfolio in India over time, reflecting the growing opportunities in the country’s electronics manufacturing sector. This collaboration supports the Indian government’s Make-in-India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives by encouraging local production and skill development.
By manufacturing ASRock motherboards in India, OEL is expected to help boost local employment and develop specialized skills in IT hardware manufacturing.
