Zaakpay, a wholly owned subsidiary of One MobiKwik Systems Limited, has partnered with Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), a key public transit agency under the ONDC Network, to launch a first-of-its-kind chat-based bus ticketing service in Odisha.
The initiative aims to digitize and simplify public transport access for more than 24 million annual commuters, covering nearly 36 million rides across the state. Through a seamless WhatsApp interface, passengers can now book tickets, make payments, and download digital tickets directly on their phones.
Developed by PeLocal as the integration partner with Zaakpay serving as the payment gateway, the service is now live in nine major cities, including Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Khordha, Pipili, Puri, Konark, Rourkela, Sambalpur, and Berhampur.
