Omaxe Ltd. has announced a significant expansion in Punjab with an investment of over Rs 1,000 crore in its newly launched integrated township project—New Amritsar. Spread across 260 acres on the GT Road, just 12 minutes from the Golden Temple, the project marks a major strategic push in the state’s real estate sector.
In its first phase, Omaxe will develop 127 acres and has already secured RERA registration and necessary approvals. The township will offer residential plots ranging from 300 to 1,000 sq. yards, alongside commercial spaces, a school, clubhouse, and community infrastructure.
The project is backed by completed financial closure and will be funded through internal accruals and sanctioned institutional support. Phase one is targeted for completion in four years.
Highlighting the location’s advantage, the company cited proximity to the under-construction 99-km Nakodar-Amritsar Delhi-Katra Expressway, 98-km Amritsar Ring Road, and the expanding Sri Guru Ram Das Ji International Airport.
Omaxe currently has operations in six cities across Punjab and has delivered over 135 million sq. ft. of projects in 31 cities over the past 38 years. With New Amritsar, the company is reaffirming its commitment to the region’s urban development.
