The Omaxe State project, an integrated 5-in-1 destination with a focus on sports, retail, hospitality, cuisine and culture, was launched on Monday by real estate developer Omaxe Group, the firm announced in a media release.
With an investment of more than Rs 2,500 crore, the project, which spans more than 50.4 acres in Dwarka Sector 19-B, New Delhi, is being developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in collaboration with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA).
According to the press release, the project will include an international multi-sports indoor stadium that can hold 2,000 spectators and a top-notch, modern international cricket football stadium that meets FIFA and ICC standards.
The project is organized into five districts: Sports, Shopping, Hospitality, Food and Social. The objective of these districts is to create a single, unique destination that offers food, sports, hospitality and social benefits.
The project would also include an air-conditioned High-Street retail area spanning 4.2 kilometres, the largest private commercial development in Delhi. Seventy-five per cent of the retail space is located on the ground floor, providing opportunities for greater performance.
