Ola Electric Mobility Limited, India’s largest pure-play EV manufacturer, announced on July 8, 2025, the mass roll-out of MoveOS 5, its most significant software upgrade to date for its S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles.
MoveOS 5, developed in-house, introduces over 50 new features aimed at improving performance, reliability, and personalization while offering better energy management and an enhanced riding experience.

Smarter performance & range: Optimized motor control and advanced battery management improve range, ride behavior, and energy recuperation across all vehicle generations.

DIY Mode: Riders can customize ride parameters like top speed, power, throttle sensitivity, and regenerative braking to create a personalized riding mode.

Road-Trip Mode: Enables group ride planning with real-time tracking, SOS alerts, and seamless route management.

Easy Park: Allows riders to maneuver the vehicle in tight spaces at low, controlled speeds (both forward and reverse).

Safety & security features: Live location sharing, SOS alerts, and Find My Vehicle functionality improve rider safety and convenience.

Infotainment upgrades: New widgets bring live cricket scores, weather updates, and more directly to the vehicle interface.

Notifications: Smart notification center filters and customizes alerts, including WhatsApp, for a distraction-free ride.
The update is being rolled out as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade, available to all S1 scooters and Roadster X motorcycles starting this week.
