NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CtrlS Datacenter Limited for the development of renewable energy projects with a capacity of 2 GW or more, the company informed exchanges on Friday.

The agreement, signed on October 31, 2025, aims to explore business opportunities for supplying round-the-clock renewable power to CtrlS data centres across India for captive consumption. The MoU was signed in New Delhi by Sarit Maheshwari, CEO of NGEL and NTPC Renewable Energy, and Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder & Chairman of CtrlS Datacenter.

The collaboration is intended to support large-scale green power integration for data-centre operations across the country, in line with the rising energy demand from India’s digital infrastructure growth and decarbonisation goals.
