NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has announced the successful commissioning of an additional 75 MW (Lot-4) solar power capacity under its 500 MW project being implemented by IRCON Renewable Power Limited (IRPL). With this, the cumulative operational capacity at the site now stands at 225 MW.

The announcement was made via a stock exchange filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. The newly commissioned capacity became commercially operational from 00:00 hours on May 2, 2025.

IRPL is a joint venture of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited. This expansion marks a significant milestone in the project rollout and reinforces NGEL’s commitment to advancing India’s renewable energy transition.

The remaining capacity of the 500 MW solar project is expected to be commissioned in subsequent phases.
