NTPC Green Energy Limited has strengthened its renewable energy footprint with the successful commissioning of 100 MW (Lot-6) capacity at the IRCON Renewable Power Limited (IRPL) plant. This addition, part of a 500 MW project, brings the cumulative operational capacity of the plant to 400 MW. IRPL is a 24% joint venture of Ayana Renewable Power Private Limited and a wholly-owned subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, which itself is a 50% joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Limited.
Effective from 00:00 hours on 17th September 2025, this capacity has been declared commercially operational under the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, in compliance with Regulation 30.
With this latest addition, NTPC Green Energy Limited Group’s current commercial capacity has increased from 7,272.575 MW to 7,372.575 MW, reinforcing its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy companies. The expansion aligns with NTPC Green’s mission to accelerate sustainable energy development and meet growing clean energy demand across the country.
