NTPC Green Energy Limited, through its wholly-owned subsidiary NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, has successfully commissioned the third part of its Khavda Solar Energy Project in Bhuj, Gujarat. The newly commissioned capacity of 49.125 MW is now declared commercially operational, effective from midnight on 22nd August 2025.
In the exchange filings, the company shared, “We wish to inform you that consequent upon successful commissioning, third part capacity of 49.125 MW out of 300 MW Khavda Solar Energy Project at Khavda, Bhuj, Gujarat of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited under 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 22.08.2025.”
This project is part of the larger 450 MW Hybrid Tranche V Project, and comes on the heels of previous phases: the first part of 142.2 MW and the second part of 32.8 MW, which were declared commercially operational on 28th June 2025 and 30th June 2025, respectively.
With this addition, the Khavda Solar Project continues to strengthen NTPC Green Energy’s commitment to renewable energy and sustainable power generation.
