NOCIL reported a sharp decline in its September quarter earnings, with net profit falling 71.23% year-on-year to ₹12.12 crore from ₹42.13 crore. The rubber chemicals maker also saw revenue decline 11.6% to ₹321 crore, compared to ₹363 crore in the same period last year, reflecting continued demand softness in the tyre and automotive supply chain.
Operating performance weakened as well, with EBITDA dropping 40% to ₹22.78 crore versus ₹37.85 crore a year ago. EBITDA margin contracted to 7.1% from 10.4% in the year-ago quarter, pressured by lower realizations and cost headwinds.
The performance highlights ongoing sectoral challenges amid subdued industrial demand and pricing pressures.
