NMDC Limited, one of India’s leading iron ore producers, has released its provisional data for iron ore production and sales for the month of December 2024, as well as cumulative figures up to December 2024.
The company reported a total iron ore production of 4.71 million tons (MT) in December 2024, which represents an increase compared to the 4.48 MT produced in December 2023. For the cumulative period up to December 2024, NMDC produced 30.77 MT of iron ore, slightly lower than the 31.78 MT produced in the same period last year.
In terms of sales, NMDC sold 3.91 MT of iron ore in December 2024, down from 4.19 MT in December 2023. The cumulative sales for the year stood at 31.80 MT, slightly down from 31.94 MT during the same period in 2023.
The data reflects stable performance in the company’s operations in both Chhattisgarh and Karnataka, with minor variations in production and sales figures across the regions.
