NMDC Limited has released its provisional production and sales data for February 2025, showcasing steady growth in its iron ore business. According to the company’s filing with stock exchanges, total iron ore production for the month stood at 4.62 million tonnes (MT), an increase from 3.92 MT recorded in February 2024. Sales figures remained strong at 3.98 MT, compared to 3.99 MT in the corresponding period last year.

On a cumulative basis, NMDC’s total iron ore production up to February 2025 stood at 40.49 MT, marginally higher than the 40.24 MT recorded during the same period last year. Meanwhile, total iron ore sales reached 40.20 MT, compared to 40.48 MT in the previous fiscal period.
The latest figures reflect NMDC’s continued operational efficiency, particularly in Karnataka, where production surged more than 145% year-on-year for February. The company remains a key player in India’s iron ore sector, with consistent performance contributing to domestic steel production.
