NLC India Limited has emerged as the highest bidder for the New Patrapara South Coal Mine, located in Angul District, Odisha, following the E-auction held by the Ministry of Coal on November 21, 2024. The official declaration of NLC India as the successful bidder is anticipated soon.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “NLC India Limited, has emerged as highest quoted (H1) bidder for New Patrapara South Coal Mine in Angul District of Odisha subsequent to the commercial coal block E-auction held on 21.11.2024 by Ministry of Coal. The official notification from Nominated Authority/Ministry of Coal declaring as successful bidder is expected shortly.”
The New Patrapara South Coal Mine boasts a significant geological reserve of approximately 720.87 million tonnes, with a peak rated capacity of 12 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
