Nestle India reported a 6.5% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit to ₹873.46 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025 (Q4 FY25), compared to ₹934.17 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. This came despite a steady growth in revenue and profit before tax.

Revenue and operational performance

The company posted total income of ₹5,512.32 crore in Q4 FY25, a 4.1% rise from ₹5,294.34 crore reported in Q4 FY24. Revenue from operations stood at ₹5,503.88 crore, up from ₹5,267.59 crore a year ago.

However, rising input and employee benefit expenses pushed total expenses for the quarter to ₹4,307.76 crore, compared to ₹4,053.84 crore in the same quarter last year.

Operating profit before tax (PBT) stood at ₹1,204.56 crore versus ₹1,240.50 crore YoY. Profit before exceptional items and tax came in at ₹1,192.14 crore, down from ₹1,240.50 crore.

Sequential comparison

On a quarter-on-quarter basis, Nestlé India saw improvement. Net profit grew to ₹873.46 crore from ₹688.01 crore in Q3 FY25. Revenue also rose from ₹4,782 crore in the previous quarter to ₹5,512 crore in Q4.

Tax and bottom-line

Tax expenses for the quarter were ₹318.6 crore (₹299.88 crore in current tax and ₹18.8 crore in deferred tax). After tax, the net profit stood at ₹873.46 crore compared to ₹934.17 crore in Q4 FY24.
