Nestlé India Limited has announced a significant leadership transition. After an illustrious career spanning over 26 years with the Nestlé Group, Mr. Suresh Narayanan, the Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé India, will retire at the close of business hours on July 31, 2025. This decision marks the end of a notable tenure during which Narayanan has been instrumental in steering the company through various phases of growth and innovation.
Nestlé S.A. has nominated Mr. Manish Tiwary to succeed Mr. Narayanan as the Managing Director of Nestlé India, effective from August 1, 2025. This nomination is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals. Manish Tiwary brings nearly three decades of experience in leading large-scale operations and strategic initiatives within the e-commerce and consumer goods sectors.
Before joining Nestlé India, Tiwary served as the Country Manager of Amazon India, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s footprint in the Indian market. He joined Amazon in 2016 after a 20-year career at Unilever, where he held various leadership roles in sales, marketing, and general management across multiple regions, including India, the Gulf, and North Africa. Tiwary holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Currently, Tiwary is a director at Amazon Digital Services Private Limited and More Consumer Brands Private Limited, roles he will step down from on October 30, 2024, to prepare for his new position at Nestlé India. Notably, he has no existing relationships with any current directors of Nestlé India.
