NCC Limited has been awarded a major infrastructure contract by the Water Resources Department, Bihar, for the construction of the Barner Reservoir Scheme in Jamui district. The project includes the development of the reservoir itself, dam structures, irrigation channels, and other associated works, reflecting NCC’s continued expertise in large-scale water resource projects.

The total contract value is approximately Rs 2,090.5 crore, excluding GST. The construction is scheduled to be completed within 30 months, followed by a defect liability period of 60 months. This ensures quality and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

The order has been granted by a domestic government entity, and NCC has confirmed that neither the promoters nor promoter group companies hold any interest in the awarding authority. Additionally, the contract does not fall under related-party transactions and has been awarded on standard terms of the contract.

This project further strengthens NCC’s portfolio in the water resources and infrastructure sector. The company’s successful track record in executing large-scale government projects positions it well for future opportunities across India.
