NCC Limited has announced that it has received a major order from the Public Works (Health & Education) Department of Assam for the expansion and modernization of Gauhati Medical College & Hospital in Guwahati. The Letter of Acceptance, dated 21 November 2025, confirms NCC as the contractor for this large-scale redevelopment project.
The project involves a complete upgrade of the existing medical infrastructure, covering demolition, planning, designing and engineering in the initial phase, followed by full-scale construction. The construction timeline is set at 42 months—six months for preparatory work and thirty-six months for execution. After completion, NCC will also handle comprehensive operations and maintenance for civil and related services for a period of five years.
The contract is valued at ₹2,062.71 crore (excluding GST), making it one of the significant healthcare infrastructure projects awarded in the region.
