NODWIN Gaming, a key subsidiary of Nazara Technologies Limited, has acquired StarLadder, a prominent global esports IP and event services company, in a deal valued at Rs 46.75 crore (USD 5.5 million). The acquisition involves a combination of cash and equity, with an upfront cash payment of Rs 17 crore and Rs 29.75 crore through equity share swaps of NODWIN Gaming Pte.
StarLadder, founded by Roman Romanstov, has a strong track record of producing globally renowned esports events such as the Valve CSGO Major and Dota2 tournaments. With over 20 years of experience, the acquisition brings extensive expertise in organizing AAA esports tournaments. Romanstov will become a shareholder of NODWIN Gaming and continue to lead StarLadder’s operations.
This move aligns with NODWIN Gaming’s vision of becoming a global powerhouse in esports and youth entertainment by expanding its AAA IP portfolio. The company aims to create iconic events across regions and strengthen its market presence following recent strategic acquisitions, including Comic Con India and Freaks 4U Gaming.
