Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders reported a robust financial performance in the second quarter of FY25, with a notable 80.3% year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching ₹563.75 crore compared to ₹312.94 crore in the same period last year. The company’s revenue from operations for Q2 FY25 rose to ₹2,756.83 crore, marking substantial growth from ₹1,827.70 crore recorded in Q2 FY24.

In addition to this impressive net profit growth, Mazagon Dock’s EBITDA surged to ₹510 crore, significantly up from ₹176 crore reported in the year-ago quarter. This resulted in an improved EBITDA margin of 18.52%, a marked increase from 9.66% in Q2 FY24, reflecting the company’s operational efficiency and cost management.

Additionally, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (MDL) reported net interest income of ₹254.28 crore for the quarter. Although this marks a slight dip from ₹271.00 crore in the previous quarter, it reflects resilience compared to ₹251.48 crore in Q2 FY2023. The company’s profit before tax surged to ₹740.49 crore, showcasing strong year-on-year growth from ₹406.64 crore in Q2 FY2023.
