Maxposure Limited has announced it has filed a patent for a groundbreaking technology designed to enhance inflight entertainment systems. The new Auto PA Pause technology automatically pauses content during Public Address (PA) announcements, ensuring passengers do not miss important messages.
This innovation is a first in the aviation industry, utilizing electromagnetic current to detect PA announcements and pause inflight entertainment without human intervention. The technology addresses a significant safety requirement and improves the passenger experience by avoiding interruptions caused by manual or audio-based methods.
The Auto PA Pause system works by monitoring voltage changes in the speaker wire during PA announcements. When an announcement is detected, the system automatically pauses the entertainment content and resumes playback once the announcement is over. This solution not only meets the strict requirements set by civil aviation authorities like DGCA, FAA, and EASA but also improves accuracy and reduces false positives compared to previous attempts using voice sensors.
Prakash Johari, MD & CEO of Maxposure Limited, highlighted that this patent marks a key milestone for the company. He stated, “By leveraging electromagnetic current, we’ve developed a reliable and efficient solution to ensure PA announcements are never missed. This technology aligns with the evolving needs of inflight entertainment and demonstrates our commitment to creating user-friendly, future-ready technology.”
Maxposure’s new technology continues its tradition of innovation in content marketing and inflight entertainment solutions, reinforcing its position as a leader in the aviation technology sector
