India’s very own navigation app, MapmyIndia’s flagship Mappls, is taking driving in the country to the next level. It’s now the first navigation app in India to offer AI-powered live traffic signal timers, toll distance tracking, and annual toll pass savings—all designed to make your daily drives smarter, safer, and more economical.
In collaboration with the Bangalore Traffic Police and Arcadis, MapmyIndia has integrated over 125 smart traffic signals in Bengaluru into the app. Drivers can now see real-time signal countdowns—green, amber, or red—up to 500 meters in advance. Whether the signals are automatic (VAC) or manually operated by traffic police, you can preview the upcoming signal status before reaching it. This is a first for India and is a big step forward in making city traffic more predictable and less stressful.
The app also tracks the distance you travel on toll roads, giving you clear information on your usage. Combined with savings on NHAI annual toll passes, this feature helps commuters plan trips better and manage travel costs efficiently.
Currently, these features are live for iOS users, with Android users set to enjoy them soon. By blending real-time traffic intelligence with tools to save money and provide transparency, Mappls is redefining navigation for Indian drivers—making every journey safer, smarter, and smoother.
