Mahindra Logistics Limited, one of India’s largest integrated logistics solutions providers, has expanded its footprint in Eastern India with the launch of two modern Grade-A warehousing facilities in Guwahati and Agartala, adding over 4 lakh sq. ft. of capacity to the region. This move aligns with the company’s vision of creating a robust pan-India logistics and distribution network, enhancing regional connectivity, boosting operational capabilities, and meeting the growing demand for integrated logistics solutions.
Eastern India is emerging as a key industrial and trade hub, supported by transformative infrastructure projects such as the Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor, Bharatmala highways, modernization of Kolkata–Haldia port, and development of Brahmaputra multimodal terminals. Cross-border links like Maitri Setu and the Akhaura–Agartala rail project are creating seamless multimodal corridors, further integrating the region with the rest of the country. Mahindra Logistics is strategically positioned to capitalize on this growth, establishing a future-ready logistics ecosystem that serves diverse industries including e-commerce, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, retail, and grocery.
As part of its ‘Go-East’ strategy, the company has developed one million sq. ft. of multi-client warehousing space across Eastern India and plans to extend express logistics services to over 800 pin codes. The expansion is expected to accelerate economic growth, create over 2,000 employment opportunities, and build a workforce with 50% local community representation. Through these facilities, Mahindra Logistics offers end-to-end solutions spanning warehousing, distribution, fulfilment, sortation, delivery, and first, mid, and last-mile services, including express and long-haul line haul operations.
The Guwahati facility, spread over 3 lakh sq. ft., is the largest Grade-A multi-client warehouse in North-East India and houses the region’s first Community Center of Excellence, launched in partnership with the Logistics Skill Council under the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship. Strategically located near NH 17, Guwahati International Airport, and Mirza Railway Station, it provides strong connectivity to key industrial areas, enhancing the company’s operational efficiency.
The Agartala facility, covering 1.3 lakh sq. ft., strengthens connectivity with production and consumption centers across Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, and Manipur, while providing a platform for cross-border trade with Bangladesh. The facility supports just-in-time shipments, fast fulfillment, and first- and last-mile delivery, positioning Agartala as a critical gateway for exporters and express logistics services in North-East and Eastern India.
With these state-of-the-art facilities, Mahindra Logistics is set to transform the logistics landscape in Eastern India, delivering future-ready supply chain solutions, improving regional connectivity, and driving economic growth across the region.
