Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), a leader in the automotive industry, has unveiled two cutting-edge facilities: the Mahindra Passive Safety Lab (PSL) and the Battery & Cell Research Lab. These world-class centers mark a new milestone in M&M’s innovation journey, located just 55 kilometers from the Mahindra Research Valley (MRV).

The new Passive Safety Lab, one of the largest owned by an OEM globally, spans over 25,000 square meters and is designed to test SUV safety across various scenarios. Built with an investment exceeding Rs. 300 crores, the PSL can conduct safety tests for both the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP) and the Australian & European New Car Assessment Program (A/ENCAP).

On the other hand, the Battery & Cell Research Lab, covering 1,374 square meters, is focused on advanced research in battery cell technologies. The lab aims to drive innovation in energy efficiency, performance and faster charging times, propelling Mahindra towards clean mobility solutions.

Mahindra’s investment in these facilities reaffirms its commitment to driving sustainable and safe automotive solutions, further solidifying its position as a leader in the global SUV market.
