Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) vertical has achieved new milestones by securing crucial high-voltage electricity grid contracts in the Middle East and Africa. These contracts aim to expand and reinforce electricity grids while integrating innovative digital energy solutions.

One of the orders secured by the business vertical is a collaboration with a prominent original equipment manufacturer to develop Kenya’s new National System Control Center. The transmission center would control the country’s electricity flow by integrating diverse generation sources and by despatching power based on merit order.

In the Middle East, L&T PT&D has secured turnkey contracts for high-voltage transmission line construction in Saudi Arabia and received orders for additional Gas Insulated Substations as part of Qatar’s ongoing power system expansion.
