Lemon Tree Hotels on Monday announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Carnation Hotels Private Limited, has executed a Hotel Operating Agreement (HOA) for an upcoming hotel project in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, according to a regulatory filing.

Under the agreement, Carnation Hotels will operate the property under the “Lemon Tree Suites” brand, subject to the execution of a separate licence agreement by Lemon Tree Hotels after receipt of the occupation or completion certificate. The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 .

The upcoming hotel will feature 228 rooms and suites, along with a restaurant, banquet facilities, a meeting room, a swimming pool and a spa. The property is located in Tirupati, one of India’s most prominent pilgrimage destinations, known for the Sri Venkateswara Temple, which attracts millions of visitors annually.

As per the company, the Tirupati International Airport is located around 10 kilometres from the hotel, while the Tirupati Railway Station is approximately 6.3 kilometres away, offering connectivity through both public and private transport networks.

Lemon Tree Hotels stated that the signing aligns with its strategy of expanding its presence in key spiritual and tourism-driven destinations. Andhra Pradesh currently has six operational hotels and three upcoming properties under the Lemon Tree portfolio.

Lemon Tree Hotels operates across multiple segments, including upscale, midscale, leisure and spiritual travel, with more than 120 operational hotels across over 80 cities in India and overseas. The company also has a strong pipeline of upcoming properties across domestic and international markets.

The Tirupati project adds to Lemon Tree Hotels’ managed and franchise portfolio as it continues to expand in high-footfall religious and tourism centres.
