Shares of Larsen & Toubro are in focus after the company’s Water & Effluent Treatment business secured significant orders from the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) of Rajasthan. As per the company classification, the order falls under the “Significant” category, meaning it ranges between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore.

The order includes work under the Rajasthan Rural Water Supply and Fluorosis Mitigation Project – Phase II, Package-1. The scope includes the supply and laying of over 5,251 km of pipelines, construction of 38 ground-level reservoirs with a total capacity of 40 ML, 132 overhead service reservoirs, 20 pump houses, and allied works. The project will benefit 285 villages and towns like Surajgarh and Udaipurwati in Jhunjhunu district.

In addition, L&T received another order to strengthen and rehabilitate the water supply system in the Kekri-Sarwar sector of Ajmer district. This includes 43 km of transmission pipelines, electromechanical work, automation, SCADA systems, and a 10-year operations and maintenance component.

L&T has previously delivered 24 such projects in Rajasthan, underlining its domain expertise.
