Larsen & Toubro (L&T) announced that its Heavy Civil Infrastructure (HCI) vertical has secured a significant order, valued between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore, from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL). The scope of the order covers a comprehensive mechanical package that includes installation of the nuclear reactor and turbine systems—alongside generators and condensers—sea water systems, polar and trestle cranes, as well as associated accessories. It also involves piping, supports, structural steelwork, painting, anti-corrosion coating, insulation, and complete testing across multiple buildings and structures at the project site.
L&T emphasized that the contract reinforces its long-standing track record in delivering complex, large-scale nuclear power infrastructure projects, contributing significantly to India’s clean energy mission.
This order falls under L&T’s “Significant” category, defined as projects with a value ranging between ₹1,000 crore and ₹2,500 crore.
