Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced that its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has secured large orders, both domestically and internationally, reinforcing its position as a global leader in grid infrastructure solutions.

In India, L&T will set up a 765kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) and execute the turnkey construction of a transmission line for power evacuation in western India. Internationally, the company has bagged major orders in Saudi Arabia, where it will build two 380kV overhead lines spanning more than 130 route kilometers, aimed at ensuring reliable power supply to townships near Riyadh.

In the UAE and Qatar, L&T has secured turnkey contracts for the construction, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of GIS substations—two 132/11kV GIS in the UAE and a 132kV GIS in Qatar. The company has also received additional orders under ongoing projects in India and Oman.

These new orders, classified under the “Large” category (ranging between ₹2,500 crore to ₹5,000 crore), reflect the continued investment momentum in efficient and reliable grid infrastructure and reaffirm client confidence in L&T’s engineering and execution capabilities.
