Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), an established healthcare chain, has announced a strategic expansion into Kerala through its fully owned subsidiary, KIMS Swastha Private Limited. The company has signed a long-term lease as well as an operations and management arrangement with Kannur-based Sree Chand Specialty Hospital.
Sree Chand Specialty Hospital was established in 2020 and has six operating theatres, one cath lab and 189 beds.
In the exchange filing, the company shared, “Under the new agreement, the hospital will be rebranded as KIMS Sreechand Specialty Hospital and undergo a major transformation. The facility will be expanded to a 350-bed quaternary care unit, offering state-of-the-art facilities across all departments with a particular emphasis on advanced Transplants, Robotic Surgeries, and Comprehensive Cancer Care.”
